Sedation Dentistry Prosper
Comfortable, Non-Judgmental Dentistry from a Team That Cares
Our practice is unique in the fact that we see a lot of patients who are dealing with tooth loss, severe decay, and other complex dental concerns. As prosthodontists, it’s not uncommon for us to see patients who have avoided visiting the dentist for awhile, eventually having no choice but to come see us. When you visit our team at Prosper Dental Health, you’ll be in the hands of a 100 percent non-judgmental team. Our top goal is to help you, no matter where you are in your journey.
To help make your appointments more comfortable, whether you suffer from dental anxiety or fear, or you’re receiving more extensive treatment, we offer three types of dental sedation. If you feel you could benefit from sedation dentistry in Prosper, call our team today to learn more!
Why Choose Prosper Dental Health for Sedation Dentistry?
- Non-Judgmental Care from a Friendly Team
- We’re Great with Patients with Anxiety & Fear
- Locally Owned Office That Gives Back to the Community
Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Nitrous oxide sedation is administered in-house from the comfort of our office. When you arrive, our team will guide you back to one of our treatment areas and place a small nose mask on you. This will deliver a mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen, allowing you to breathe it in throughout your appointment to calm any nerves. As our team completes your cleaning or procedure, we’ll continue checking in on you. After your service is complete, we’ll remove your mask, and you can carry on with the rest of your day!
Oral Conscious Sedation

Oral conscious sedation is a longer-acting and slightly stronger method of sedation than nitrous oxide. Before your appointment, you’ll take a prescribed pill (Halcion). By the time you arrive to our office, the effects of the Halcion will have kicked-in, helping you feel much more relaxed and at-ease during your visit. Because the effects can linger for up to eight hours, it’s important that you have a trusted friend or family member ready to drop you off and pick you up from our office.
IV Dental Sedation

The strongest method of sedation we offer is IV sedation. This is administered intravenously, directly into the bloodstream for near-immediate effects. Our trained staff will monitor you throughout your treatment. You’ll remain conscious as well, allowing you to respond to our team if we ask any questions or provide you with instructions during your procedure. The effects of IV sedation can linger, so it’s important that you clear your schedule for the rest of the day.
