Dental Checkups & Cleanings

The American Dental Association advises patients to visit the dentist every six months for routine checkups and cleanings in order to keep their teeth and gums healthy throughout their life. These visits will include a thorough examination from Dr. Trautmann or Dr. Poineal, as well as a thorough professional cleaning from one of our knowledgeable dental hygienists. If our team spots any signs of oral health issues, we’ll present you with our treatment recommendations to help keep the issues from progressing, preserving the health of your smile.

Nightguards for Bruxism

If you wake up with a sore jaw or you notice that your molars appear flat and ground-down, it’s likely that you suffer from bruxism, or teeth grinding and clenching. Our team can help prevent the breakdown of your dental structure due to routine grinding as well as minimize tension in your jaw joints and facial muscles by crafting a customized, cushioning nightguard. Simply put it in your mouth before you go to bed and wake up feeling more relaxed and less tense!

TMJ Treatment

If you’re experiencing symptoms of TMJ disorder, which is a common condition that impacts the jaw joints that allow you to open and close your mouth, we can conduct a screening to assess your joint health. Based on our findings, we can either provide you with a customized splint or refer you to a physical therapist or orofacial pain specialist for further testing.
