Dr. Marisol Chaves-Trautmann Dr. Yaritza Vazquez

Dr. Marisol Chaves-Trautmann

At the age of four, Dr. Marisol Chaves-Trautmann met her inspiration to go into oral healthcare, her own pediatric dentist, Dr. Rolando Guzman. Today, over 30 years after graduating from the University of Costa Rica for her undergraduate degree and Ohio State University for her dental doctorate and Advanced Prosthodontics certification, she still has no regrets! She even achieved her Level 1 oral sedation and nitrous oxide sedation certifications to help keep her patients feeling calm and comfortable during treatment.

After serving as the Assistant Director to the AEGD Program at TAMU College of Dentistry, Dr. Trautmann worked for North Texas Dental Specialists and Allen Family Dental before founding Prosper Dental Health with Dr. Bill Gerlach, her beloved friend and colleague who is now enjoying his retirement.

Dr. Trautmann is a proud, active member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and The Academy of Prosthodontics.

When not treating her amazing patients, Dr. Trautmann loves spending time with her incredible family, including her wonderful parents and three adult sons. She also remains close with her sister who lives in New York City with her family. She is also a boating enthusiast who loves to travel and is always up for sharing a good book with her book club.

Proudly bilingual, Dr. Trautmann’s faith guides her kind, optimistic spirit, and plays a huge role in her positive outlook on life.

Dr. Yaritza Vazquez

Dr. Yaritza Vazquez earned her certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in General Practice Residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2006, and her residency in Periodontics at Boston University with a master’s degree in Oral Biology in 2009.

Although she initially began working with special needs and medically compromised patients, Dr. Vazquez eventually took a keen interest in periodontics, where she has continued to expand her skills and knowledge ever since.

Dr. Vazquez is a proud, active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, and the Texas Dental Association. She has also been a proud diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology since 2010.

For Dr. Vazquez, the best part of treating patients is the ability to get to know them and improve their lives by restoring and protecting their smiles. She also loves the ability to solve problems and work with her hands.

When she’s not safeguarding the teeth and gums of her patients, Dr. Vazquez enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Jan Ortiz, and their wonderful children, Zoe and Noah. A student of the world, she also enjoys traveling and learning more about the differences in our cultures that make us special.
